Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Ulcers/Injuries: Clinical Practice Guideline
Consumer Engagement
At commencement of the the development of the third guideline edition, an international survey of consumers (patients and their informal caregivers) will be undertaken to establish, information needs, consumer interest in outcome measures (goal priorities) and to inform development of the clinical questions. Information from the survey was used to :
- revise the clinical questions
- contribute to the evidence to decision frameworks
- inform the Strength of Recommendations
- develop recommendations on goals of care, quality of life, education and self-care
- develop priorities for consumer education material.
The consumer survey research is currently being prepared for a peer review manuscript. The preliminary results have been presented at international conferences as posters:
